My termination from Serco after 9 years

If you are following this blog, then you understand that we don’t know how much time I have left – which can be tonight or some date in the near or late future. What we do know is that there is no cure, and the doctor works only to stabilize and give me a painless lifestyle – up to this point that has meant being bed ridden except for trips to the clinic and my stays in the hospital. A key to my success, after all the chemo and other "out there experiments," is to keep my morale up - to allow me hope. I was delivered a devasting blow last week. It was sent by Fed Ex and required a signature. It was scanned to show the original, but names were omitted. If you would like to respond after reading the following termination letter, you can leave your comments here. You need not sign them. Later, I will express what it did to me. Just click on the thumnail image of the letter, and it will take you to a full-size copy of the letter. - Frank

Amazing! This is THE most inhumane letter I have ever read! It never ceases to amaze me how cold and unfeeling companies can be when it comes to their employees, who in this case, gave the company 200% when employed! The company just sucks the life out of you, and in a time of need/hardship, they look the other way! This is a cold-hearted, calculated letter, that should NEVER have been sent!!!!

Terrible = cross them off and move on . They dn't deseerve the time and you should be using your time more productively - move on.

Frank, the Serco letter was hurtful, unnecessary and a slap in the face to you and your professionalism. I wish official matters were handled more respectfully.

As a staff, we think of you often and would like to include your thoughts and experiences, especially as we go through growing pains of new requirements for the program. We miss your views which contributed to the development of ACAP staff and clients.

Our prayers continue to go out for your health and well-being, as well as for Chris and your children and grand-children.

I learned a lot from you, Frank, while we worked together, probably more than you think I did. Know that you left a piece of your heart with all of us. You touched many lives with your guidance.

Thank you and we miss you!! Sincerely, Sue Maloney

Dammit, to support you pop's, I'm going sell all of my SERCO stock (and it was up to 3 cents a share)! It's ok, I'll have a little change when I cash out with SERCO to invest in Wal-Mart, Dyncorp, Haliburton and Philip Morris.

Don't even get me started on them. RACIST, HOMOPHOBIC HATE MONGERS. LIARS too. I worked my guts out for Serco for years and was let go with a phone call and told if we weren't contacted within an hour and a half we were done. At that time I was a manager and there was NO direction given to us or how to best assist our staff. The person who told us we were getting the ax (100+) was so rude and essentially told us he didn't have time to discuss anything any longer after we were told the contract was de-scoped and only a handfull of positions were going to be held over. For months after I, along with many others, were harassed by Serco staff who thought they had some kind of influence on me to continue to make demands for equipment that hadn't been sent in. The equipment had been sent in, it was Serco's gross mismanagement of their equipment to even track what had been returned and what hadn't. Oh, and we as staff were not paid or compensated in any manner for the time we had to travel and take to clean out our offices and turn in our equipment. The office points of contact weren't even told what was going on and we were also in charge of telling points of contact we weren't coming back, were not able to keep projects going, etc., etc. FRAUD, WASTE and ABUSE of Government monies supposedly in support of Army and military families. WHAT A CROCK!!!!! AVOID SERCO IF IT IS THE LAST EMPLOYER ON EARTH.
